Recognition of Launch in 2015

Dave Speed, Chief, Whitby Fire:
The Heads Up! Durham initiative has the full support of the eight Fire Departments within Durham Region. All too often, the Fire Service responds to accidents where people have been seriously injured. These injuries often include traumatic brain injuries, many of which could be prevented by taking simple precautions. This is where Heads Up! Durham comes in. Heads Up! Durham educates people about traumatic brain injuries and equips people with the knowledge necessary to reduce their risk of experiencing one. The Fire Service is proud to be associated with Heads Up! Durham and looks forward to continuing to provide its support to this extremely worthwhile endeavor.
